How long does it take to pass a kidney stone   by Manoj Sharma

I had a renal kidney stone in 2002. I went through all the pain and stress for 4 months before passing through urine. Luckily I didn’t have to go through any surgery. Even after that it took me around 8 more months to recover. So in total it took around a year for me to start my normal life. It was the worst part of my life. I was in stress all the time thinking how will I ever get rid of it. I didn’t want to go through surgery. So I tried everything – home based remedy, ayurvedic, Homeopathy and diuretic medicines. Following are some of the medication that helped me.

Home based remedy:

1. Water – I used to drink 4-5 liter of water day and night. I used to boil the water in the morning, filter it and let it cool down. Water will help to dilute mineral forming salt in urine.
2. Lemonade Barley Water – I used to drink 2-3 glass a day. Lemonade barley water’s high fiber content helps to cleanse waste material from body through urine.
3. Diluted Natural Yogurt – I use to drink 500 ml of diluted natural yogurt. Mix 100ml of natural yogurt with 500ml of distilled water. Add half tea spoon of salt. Diluted Natural Yogurt is diuretic and help to clean kidney.
4. Young Coconut water – I use to drink young coconut water every day. 2- 3 time a day. Coconut water is also considered a natural diuretic, which help to clean kidney.
5. Watermelon juice – I used to drink a glass of water melon juice everyday.
